The proposals formulated in the project aim to increase flood protection security along the common Danube section of Hungarian-Serbian interest. Modernization of the water level and water output measuring station at Baja cannot be postponed any longer. Later on the modernized Baja station can serve as a reference for the establishment of other main stations along the Danube section concerned (approx. 5 stations on the Hungarian side) in the next phase of development. As a result of the support project, the Baja hydrometeorology station has been enriched by automatic telemeter sensor devices. Preparations against icy floods are assisted by the new web camera based ice monitoring network.
