Dance with me!
Date du début: 20 févr. 2015, Date de fin: 19 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The youth exchange "Dance with me" is a project aimed at promoting social inclusion of marginalized youth. Dancing, as an effective way of communication throughout centuries, will gather 37 16-30 year-old youngsters from 7 different countries to foster European awareness on benefits of intercultural integration and social inclusion. Every national team will consist of 2 different type of people, the ones that are always on public - folk dancers, and the others - youngsters with fewer opportunities, tackling difficulties of social inclusion. The project will underline the importance of cultural diversity and active participation of youth, regardless of their background. Through non-formal and informal methods within 8 days everyone will have a space for intercultural learning attending dance workshops, national evenings, simulation exercises and discussions on integration of people with fewer opportunities in local development processes. The group will increase their knowledge and share the experience, creating the problem solving model. Traditional dances will connect the participants to concentrate on similarities between them, not on differences. Together, as a result, they will create an international common European dance deriving from all traditions, with input elements of social inclusion. This will lead to final event, on international day of Dance, in front of local people where they will present their common view on the issue, addressed trough dancing. That way we will make multiple impact on the local communities in which non-formal learning will provide support to reduce social exclusion. Furthermore the participants and partners will play a role of multiplayers, sending the message in their home countries and organising event on the topic of social inclusion and promotion of Erasmus+ programme. We want to remind people about simple and very important fundamental values for common development - solidarity, democracry, tolerance and intercultural friendship.
