The reason behind the development of all attached activities is to promote the National Qualifications Framework of Cyprus among public and private training institutions and the general public. They are also considered as the route to establish a procedure for the level-rating of qualifications of private training institutions and other Awarding Bodies. The aim is also to develop a monitoring procedure and upgrade all protocols signed with public and training institutions. This procedure will be maintaining a rapport with key stakeholders on issues related to the Cyprus Qualifications Framework. The Referencing Report is the first step of the procedure for the establishment of a National Qualifications Framework in Cyprus. Through the publication of legal notice, Cyprus will develop it in order to legalize through all local and foreign awarding bodies the procedure for the promotion and maintenance of the NQF and establish the policies and criteria on which the Qualifications Framework shall be based. The National Workshop will take place in order to inform all stakeholders for the status of the Referencing Report and informing all stakeholders about the development of the next steps. Informative workshops will take place so that all stakeholders will coordinate and contribute to the specific project. The Design of the NQF will be prepared in order to approve and ensure the publication of national and occupational standards of knowledge, skills, competencies and attitudes. It will also establish a qualifications framework for sectoral qualifications outside the existing framework of qualifications. Continuing the process, the idea is to announce and present how the NQF is established for the accreditation and Quality Assurance of vocational and professional training through a National Workshops. The workshops will also establish the consultation process with all stakeholders. The First Guide will be published and presented to all stakeholders and media.
