This project concerned series of 5 debates on youth participation in youth policy-making taking into account the development of commune. The idea emerged itself from the initiative of students of the Faculty of Administration in Akademia Jana Długosza in Częstochowa who are not only the participants of scientific circle but also are cooperating with our organization. Debates were organized with the active participation of decision-makers, experts and young people as well. The main aim of the project was to initiate the communication network between youth and experts in the cultivation of the local youth politics. Specific objectives:- Educate participants about appropriate citizenship associated with active participation in the creation of youth policy. - Indicate methods to support youth initiatives in this field- Getting students involved in the decision making concerning the development of the commune, especially economic policy, education and the creation of public space and culture.- Popularization effects of the project, especially in academia- Giving an opportunity of constant cooperation between youth and experts concerning the issues of youth commune policy- The rise of awareness of the benefits connected with the active participation of youth in democratic life. The topics of debates: Debate No 1 The extension of the formal and non-formal education in order to intensify the youths’ key competences; Debate No 2 The support of the economic development; Debate No 3 The young people possibilities of the construction of public space in commune; Debate No 4 Youth engagement in the cultural life in the particular commune; Debate No 5 Summing up a series of debates, creating the communication network between youth, experts and policymakers. Additionally, the project involved a survey which results helped to adjust discussed topics to the needs of participants. After each debate evaluation was carried out, which checked the level of participants’ satisaction from participation in the project and also the level of achievement of project objectives. In the project certyficates Youthpass and Europass CV were used, which confirm achieved key competences.
