Cvrčak (Cjelovito Vješto Radno Čudesno Apliciranje Kreativnosti)
Date du début: 1 sept. 2016, Date de fin: 31 août 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Primary school Grigor Vitez in Zagreb is unique in the Republic of Croatia, according to class conformation and the number of integrated students with special needs. Some of 120 students with special needs are in regular classes but mostly they are in separate classes (small groups). Our school also educates students who are members of ethnic minorities. We have decided to participate in Erasmus+ project, because we want to strengthen teacher competencies in using creative teaching methods. This will increase students' motivation for learning and further education, build up basic and transversal skills, enable better adaptation of educational contents and methods to all kinds of abilities (students with disabilities but also gifted students) and improve cooperation between our school and local community. After a thorough selection of project participants, we have chosen twelve participants with different educational background and responsibilities, who work with both regular students and students with special needs. Selected participants are classteachers, teachers of Croatian, English, Mathematics and Informatics, special needs teachers, professional associates, a catechist, and the principal. All participants have chosen different courses that will improve their creative competences in the subject they teach, and after mobility they will implement creative style of teaching in everyday work. They will be able to create cooperative and interactive class, accordant to all needs and abilities of every student. Participants are members of the eTwinning portal, which they use to inform and exchange examples of good practices and participate in online courses. The participation in individual mobility will be confirmed by the Europass mobility certificates and certificates of participation in mobility in particular EU countries from appropriate schools. One part of the participants will attend short courses of English language.According to specific needs of our school, we are investing in professional development of our teachers. High quality of teaching process will lead to a better quality of learning outcomes. Creative methods in teaching will be efficient for students with learning problems, ADHD, autism and intellectual disabilities, but also for gifted students. To all of them, creative teaching will enable adaptation of teaching methods to their needs and abilities, develop creative thinking style, encourage curiosity, increase motivation in learning and reduce frustration after poorer learning outcomes. Creative teaching reduces early school leaving, increases the level of basic and transversal skills and increases students competitiveness for the labour market. During the project, we will analyse quantitative and qualitative evaluation by participants (teachers) and users (students, parents). After analysis, we will choose the most efficient creative learning methods and keep using them after the project in our everyday work. In comparing students' learning outcomes before and after the implementation of creative methods in teaching, we will analyse the impact of those methods on the learning process. The map of every class involved in this project will be the summative evaluation and enable the creativity process to be followed up.During and after the project we will inform our colleagues about the school project and will disseminate new knowledge and experience through presentations, workshops and lectures in the stuff room and the Teacher’s Council. Information about the project, its objectives, the implementation and the impact on our school and evaluation of the project will be published in special places in our school (school lobby, library and staff room), as well as on the school website, school newspaper and social networks. We will participate in radio broadcasts and on television shows that deal with improving the educational process. The results of our participation in the Erasmus+ programme will be shared with colleagues from other countries through eTwinning and other online portals and social networks .In the end, we want to emphasize that, due to the fact that children learn differently, we are obligated to teach them differently, and we know that using our new skills and competences will be one step closer to doing it.
