Project "Culture Touch" will take place in Toruń in the premises of Toruńska Agenda Kulturalna. From the 1st of May until the 30th of November 2016 we will host 2 young volunteers from Hungary. During those 7 months our volunteers will take an active part in creating and implementing cultural events of regional, national and international level (Gingerbread Day, La Fete de Musique, May weekend, Street Theatre Festival, “Visions” festival, Cultural Summer, Bella Skyway Festival, Festival of the Art of Fact) organized by the institution. Volunteers will be given a possibility to collaborate with Polish and international artists and managers, learn to know how to coordinate cultural projects and communicate with audiences. Volunteers will share their experiences on their EVS blog and they will create a subjective chronicle of the events and promote the idea of intercultural dialogue and European Voluntary Service. They will also have an opportunity to carry out their own cultural event planed for the local community: an exhibition, workshops or other cultural event which will correspond with their abilities and sensitivity.Our volunteers will have an opportunity to promote their culture and language among the youngsters in Toruń and share their experiences gathered during their 7-month-long stay in Toruń. They will also have a chance to learn Polish with private, experienced teacher, what will help them to acclimatize in Poland and get to know our culture and habits. All skills which they will obtain and develop during the EVS project, will strengthen their position on the European labour market.
