FITeL realizes, at national level, a series of activities related to leisure and active citizenship. Among the activities promoted and managed by FITeL, along with federated organizations, include: social tourism, sport (Sport for All), activities of solidarity, active citizenship and participation.All this set of activities, is an important factor in terms of the objectives of Europe 2020, for several reasons:- These are activities that make an essential contribution to the objective of an ever more inclusive Europe, as to fight marginalization and social exclusion;- These activities are, at the same time, a contribution to employment, especially for a country like Italy, for its artistic and natural heritage;- These activities also contribute also to sustainable development. Consider, for example, such as social tourism or outdoor sports combine with the size of the protection of the natural environment, as well as with the protection of the artistic heritage and intangible heritage, as the culinary traditions, ancient crafts, festivals collective traditions in general;- Finally, we see the importance of this area of "free time" as an opportunity for learning throughout life, in non-formal and informal contexts.Training and internationalization needs of FITeL, in order to face these challenges, are many.- On the one hand FITeL needs to increase the professionalism of its staff, in the various fields of activity described. In particular, these requirements includes increased quality for social tourism, the need to improve the quality of the models offer, the services as well as the size of the inclusion of disadvantaged groups in the activities, in order to combat social exclusion; for the sport, the need to improve the quality of supply, expanding the type of assets, improving the training of operators, and - again - by enhancing the ability to include disadvantaged.In parallel, there's a strong need for internationalization, both because we are talking about activities that include an international dimension, and because the concepts and values such as citizenship today that can not be declined in European and international level.From this context, FITeL has developed a European development plan which sees a series of training abroad for some professionals in its staff, namely:- Manager of the organization;-staff of the organization's projects and internationalization area;- Staff of the organization that oversees the organization of sporting activities- Staff of the organization that deals specifically organization of social tourismThe training activities under the project include:Developing the skills of staff in terms of internationalization - Training for a manager and two staff members, to increase understanding of the practices of cooperation with partners from other European countries in the field of social tourism activities of sport for all, and increase the ability to achieve European funded projects.Skills development and staff in social tourism – Training activities for two managers and four staff members on the quality of the models offer, to improve the services of social tourism in terms of innovation and inclusion of disadvantaged groups in view of Europe in 2020.Skills development of staff within sports activities - Training activities for two managers and four staff members to improve the quality of sports in the area, to make sports as a form of social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.Development of language skills - Training activities for two managers and four staff members to improve the practice of the English language, with reference to specific thematic areas of the participants.Objective of the project is the transfer and integration of learning achieved through the activities of mobility in the current practice of the association, through internal workshops, and other tools. This will result in:-Introduction of innovative practices and actions of European cooperation in the social tourism organization;-Introduction of innovative practices and actions for European cooperation in the “sports for all” activities of the organization;-the establishment of an area inside the organization dedicated to European cooperation, including through the ability to relate to European networks, and to participate in the call in the major European programs in the areas in which the association. All this with the ultimate goal of improving the supply of social tourism and sport throughout the country, and to contribute at European level on how to develop these areas and thus contribute to the ambitious objectives of Europe 2020.
