We see EVS as a strong complement to our mission, because it enables acquisition of informal knowledge, work experience and intercultural learning of young people. The purpose of our organization is to fill free time of young people on a quality way, helping them to access further education and working experiences through voluntary work and through motivational workshops. Our aim is to present a wide range of youth culture from across Europe to local communities. The purpose and objectives are achieved through regular monthly cultural program, organization of youth workshops and creative workshops, info point, where all residents, especially young people, can access information in the field of culture, youth work and youth policy.Key objectives of the project "Cultural geek" are:- Non-formal education of volunteer and strengthening of competences through working in a NGO;- To improve the competences and skills of volunteer in the field of ICT - new technologies, creativity and culture, Youth (youth work), by which they will improve its employment potential;- To promote participation in democratic life and the labor market of volunteer;- To promote active citizenship and intercultural dialogue to volunteer and also to members/employees of sending, hosting and coordination organization;- To promote Youth in Action program as an opportunity for integration of young people in the local communities and international environment;- To help young people at leading their own youth projects;- To promote intercultural learning in a way to get to know yourself and others;- To promote social inclusion and solidarity by providing opportunities for learning mobility of young people;- To promote the quality of youth work especially through enhanced cooperation between organizations in the youth field;- Strengthening the international dimension of youth activities and strengthen the capacities of youth workers and organizations in supporting young people by complementing the external action of the European Union, in particular by promoting mobility.We are looking for individuals who are familiar with our fields: ICT - new technologies, creativity and culture, Youth (youth work) and are at least 18 years old because of the difficulty of the activities. After the employment in our organization the volunteer will become a leader of their own projects in above mentioned fields. It will learn and gain competences and skills of different professions: scriptwriters, cameramen, editors, directors and project leaders in the creation of films, documentaries or animated films; children's animators and also as organizers of creative and cultural events (concerts, literary evenings, theatre performances, exhibitions, etc.). Project implementation will include three methods: personal, interpersonal and group interactive method.Most important expected result of the project is that volunteer will gain and improve their career prospects, which will have positive effect on its employability. Besides that we will also strengthen their self-initiative, independence and self-confidence, improve their foreign language skills, strengthen intercultural awareness, encourage their active participation in society, promote his awareness of the European project and EU values, and also we will try to increase his/hers motivation for formal/informal participation in the future. Key quantitative results of the project are:- Integration of 1 volunteer for 12 months,- Preparation of 50 TV programmes for TV Lasko (editing, recording, production)- Participation at filming two short documentaries,- Preparation of at least two music videos,- Organization and participation of at least 20 cultural events (concerts, exhibitions, workshops)- Cooperation in at least 4o events of children animation (puppet shows, creative workshops)- Organization of at least 50 interactive board games for primary and secondary students.Expected impact of the project will be on sending organization, in a way that the volunteer will come back in home environment with new skills and competences, which he/she can disseminate and imply on other volunteers and organizations that are interested in the implementation of EVS or other intercultural experiences. The project will also have a positive impact on the host organization in particular on its regular operation activities. Long-term effects of the project will mostly impact on the local environment of the sending and host organizations. Sending organization will gain an experienced mentor who will be able to disseminate their experience to other young people as well as organizations. In the host organization the international experience will impact on cultural openness within the association, especially among other volunteers who work there regularly. Members who are in daily contact with foreign volunteer will be more tolerant and receptive to other cultures.
