Our project is called “Cultural caravan” and it is aiming to help the young people believe in themselves and create the world they want to live in. With this project we aim to help young people to be implemented in society in a productive and creative way. Our project is going to take place mainly in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, but when needed, we may travel to other cities as well. We are planning to make a variety of different events, such as a Cultural Festival, Human Library event, Theatre of the Oppressed, Geocaching excursions, Laughter Festival, and several other actions for a better society, such us Informative sessions for various subjects about youth. As part of their daily activities, volunteers can, for example, lead intercultural workshops to promote their countries, they will have access to a kitchen to prepare regional dishes, music equipment, and art materials. They can also organise movie nights or traditional games nights and many more. This is the reason we need some volunteers to help us organise all these. Besides that, there is a need of volunteers that will work with young people to help them learn Greek, English, as well as other languages, and help them find creative ways to spend their time and express themselves, such as theatre workshops, artscrafts workshops and music/dance/sports workshops. We will need four volunteers to help us run this project for about nine months, from May 2016 to January 2017.
