Crossroads of Cultures

Main goal of project “Crossroads of Cultures” is to bring young artists, to improve international relations and more constructive dialog between youngsters. Promoting good art practices, addressing young people and to develop greater understanding of the creative process, cross-border and cross-cultural initiatives and exchange amongst communities Europe and neighboring countries. The 30 young artists from Latvia, Georgia, Armenia and Turkey will take part in this project, The participants will arrive in Kobuleti (Georgia). They will take part in the plein air 7 days. The artists will be given the task – to analyze European culture’s place in the neighboring countries culture and as well as neighboring countries’ cultures place in European cultural areal, they should express it on their paintings, the task of plain-air’s participants will be realize the present, create in her collision of modern period in their understanding, to show their solution which is suitable for new time. They should take into account the concept „Open Europe”,wich implements not only European formats and the national content but also it develops towards traditions and modern productive synthesis, towards new views in postmodernism. Besides that, the participants will work and create the joint painting. During the plein-air an international events will be held where the participants will represent their own countries, different kind of events will be organized which will give the participants the opportunity to make new friends. The plein-air will be finished by mobile-exhibition , the participants and organizers will drive by bus and will exhibit the painting in Batumi. The paintings will be shown on the web space (web-sites of partners, project’s blog, social networks). The originals will be exhibited in Zugdidi “Art’s gallery”.At the end of project the catalog will be published, it will include all the paintings, CV and comments of participants.
