Crossroad Kvarken is a project intended to stimulate business and cooperation between companies and organisations in Helgeland Norway, Västerbotten + Örnsköldsvik in Sweden and Österbotten Finland. The project is owned by the Federation of Private Enterprises in Västerbotten and has been ongoing since 2000. The project is part of the Interreg IIIA Kvarken-MittSkandia programme. The project has developed an Internet marketplace at www. kvarken.com, which acts as a work and contact tool for businesses and other interested parties in the region. The marketplace has been promoted through the project since the spring 2002. The project is expected within the next few years to include several thousand companies, local authorities, organisations and project.
