Crossing borders

The project "Crossing Borders" is a youth exchange, organised under Erasmus+ Programme. It is dedicated to young people in age of 18 - 25 from 5 European countries: Poland, Latvia, Italy, Romania and Slovakia. The project aims to deepen the knowledge about migration, its types and causes. Through all activities, we want to promote and develop an attitude of tolerance, openness, to break down stereotypes and oppose discrimination. The aim of the project is to promote the idea that human rights of migrants should be respected, in particular, should be respected the right to protection against discrimination and violence. The participants, through various workshops and meetings with experts, will broaden their theoretical and practical knowledge on migration, including refugees, and will develop their creativity. They will also learn about good practices that promote appropriate attitudes towards foreigners. All workshops and meetings will be conducted with nonformal education methods, with the active participation of all participants. As a result, the beneficiaries of the project shall bring into force the attitude of tolerance, openness and opposition to all forms of discrimination. They will acquire more knowledge on human rights, they will find out what the results may cause active attitude. They will know how to respond to hostility towards foreigners and how to counteract them. In addition, the project will create a publication in which we describe the activities undertaken by us, used tools, tips and gained experience. The organizer of the project is the National Association of Active.
