In accordance with the international strategy of Ahlman Vocational Institute the objective of this project is to increase international activities at Ahlman. There haven´t been any projects like this at Ahlman before.
The objective of this project is developing particularly the internationall skills because these skills are on the list of the 10 most important working life skills in future. Ahlman strives for developing international skills and operating in international work environments in home country as well as abroad. International skills are written down in the local strategy of Birkaland, too. In that local strategy internationall skills are regarded as one of the main objectives.

From both the teachers´and the students´point of view there are important targets, such as: improving language skills, developing professional skills, working in international teams and especially from the students´point of view improving the possibilities of working abroad.

With the help of this project can all the targets mentioned above be reached. This will be a start for international activities which can be expanded to other study branches as well, such as Tourism and Gardening branches. It is also possible to expand these international activities to Adult Education and get the Labour market more involved in them. It is also easier to plan international activities in future after having the possibility of making this kind of project cooperation for the first time. In future there will be possibilities for cooperation with Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) Pro Academy because there the studies are also carried out by using educational methods of team academy and entrepreneurship.
