This project seeks to provide low- or medium-budget film projects with access to 3D stereo and VFX (digital special effects) technologies. A long-term partnership will be set up between the coastal regions on both sides of the Channel, by taking account of their specific skills in terms of cinema and using new imagery technologies for film production. C.C.F.L.2 particularly plans to build a collaborative research platform on innovative imagery drawing on the project partners' complementary skills. It will then be tested and used by four feature-length projects selected by a cross-border jury, which will benefit from two workshops on how best to incorporate 3D stereo and VFX technologies in their project. C.C.F.L.2 follows on from a highly successful micro-project in 2010 that was also funded by the Programme.
