Cross-Border Knowledge Transfer of the Best Special Teaching Methods and Social Protection (Easy together)

During the project, the two partners - specialized schools in Latvia and Estonia - organized a number of joint trainings and study tours for the disabled students and their parents. Experience was exchanged regarding specialized day centres, as well as villages created especially for young disabled people to help them develop independence, daily problem-solving and socialising skills. Achievements: The project helped to improve the situation for disabled people, especially young people with mental disabilities.Trainings and experience exchanges for teachers and parents helped to establish important networks, as well as come up with new jointly developed study materials, such as an easy-to-read self-help student handbook in both languages.More information please find at: http://www.estlat.eu/programme/supported-projects/?project=20
