The overall aim of the digital-based project is to make the inhabitants of the Hajdu-Bihar - Bihor Euroregion responsive to the past and to strengthen the cultural cross-border connections so that the communities living in both side of the border could enjoy the advantages of the development program, based on real cooperation. To reach this, the concrete aim of the project is to establish up-to-date archive-making and digitalizing workshops in Debrecen and in Oradea, (develop research infrastructure and find an interregional research group), to create a common database and info communication system, to edit it online, and to organize conferences together in Debrecen and Oradea.In the framework of the co-operation via digitalizing thousands of documents, maps, certificates, plans, periodicals, brochures were processed and digitalized, in the best interest of the international, national and scientific public. The scientific publications, mutual conferences, exhibitions, materials displaying the architectural and historical heritage, publications (a representative book in Hungarian and Romanian and a multimedia DVD) show the region's still living traditions and values. The interregional research group strengthens the co-operation of the research and cultural connections.The effect of this joint developed project appears on both side of the border and results and effects of it utilized mutually. Thus, the strengthening of the interregional cooperation and the mutually preserved cultural and historical heritage begins and the communities living on both side of the border can enjoy the advantages of this real cooperation based program.The target groups of the project:Direct target group: university, college and high school students, teachers, researchers, scientific experts.Indirect target group: the inhabitants of Hajdu-Bihar-Bihor Euroregion (approx. 1,2 million).
