Cross-border cultural bridge for social inclusion (HUSKROUA/1101/082)

This project aims at promoting cross-border traditional culture as a mean of social inclusion of disadvantaged children and youths in Romania, Hungary and Ukraine. The specific objectives of the project are: 1. To develop basic competences of 14 professionals / volunteers from partner organizations to use expressive art techniques as therapeutic and educational tools in work with disabled / disadvantaged children and youths in the first quarter of project implementation. 2 To enhance cooperation between partner organizations to build personal development programs for disadvantaged children and youths, during the implementation of the project. 3. To facilitate the access of 50 disabled or disadvantaged children and youths to cultural and educational activities, discovering the multiculturalism of the Romanian-Hungarian-Ukrainian border region, in the last three quarters of the projects implementation. 4. To develop life skills and artistic abilities for 50 disabled / disadvantaged children and youth preserving and transmitting traditional culture elements during 4 months of the project developed. 5. To promote social inclusion of disadvantaged children and youths in the cross-border region through a special artistic performance built by 20 disabled/disadvantage children and youths, in the second semester of the project implementation. 6. To rise awareness of peoples and especially young generations form the communities about traditional culture from the cross-border region, within 3 months of the project. 7. To enhance partner organizations role in promoting social inclusion and regional cultural heritage, during the project. Expected Results: Estimated results: 14 professionals/volunteers from partner organizations trained in the expressive art therapy techniques; 3 networking visits organized for professionals/volunteers; 3 cross-border cultural visits organized for disabled/disadvantaged children and youths; 50 disabled/disadvantaged children and youths and at least 2000 pupils/students and teachers aware of the multiculturalism of the Romanian-Hungarian-Ukrainian border region; 50 disadvantaged children and youth with developed life skills and artistic abilities; 1 international camp and 1 festival organized; 1 brochure collecting cross-border cultural heritage elements promoted by children and youths; At least 300 peoples from local communities aware about children and youth talents; 3 exhibitions of 200 photos of the main activities performed by children and youths involved in the project; a consolidated cross-border partnership between partner NGOs.
