The TC "Creativity as a tool for youth empowerment!" managed to provide opportunities to 40 youngsters from 12 European countries, both Roma and non-Roma to understand and develop approaches of working with young people and audiences; as well to develop creativity and creative actions that animates the public. One of the aims was to foster the conceptual understanding for intercultural dialogue, youth empowerment and mobilization in order to strengthening the dialogue and youth work with Roma and non-Roma on local, national and international level, as well the cooperation and relations between Roma and non-Roma youth and youth organizations. Another objective was to develop approaches for creating creative public actions, as well to develop new projects within the new Erasmus plus Programme. This 8-day training brought together 40 youth workers, youth activists and volunteers, that are engaged at a local, regional and national level in the empowerment process of young Roma and inspired youth creativity to take action on the international youth day, 12-th of August in Ohrid, Macedonia. The training was hosted and co-organized with our partner from Macedonia, the Regional Educational Roma Youth Association in Ohrid, Macedonia from 07-th till 14-th of August 2015. Within this project we discussed approaches that involve non-formal learning, as well learned and participated in impro-theater, frozen installation creation, comic drawing, creativity, art as action and tool, youth mobilization and talked about the opportunities that young Roma and non-Roma have to participate in social and political life. The project as such took over practices of intercultural dialogue on local level, by giving examples of public actions based on creativity and how to connect these to international projects based on the tools of the new Erasmus plus programme. The participants worked on their own creative performances that were presented on the international youth day 12-th of August around Ohrid. During the stay in Ohrid, the participants managed to discuss with the local community, the needs and aspirations of young people, and engaged in smaller actions (flash-mobs) to promote publicly through creative tools the respect between Roma and non-Roma youth. The specific objectives of this training were to: • strengthen the transnational and long-term networking of Roma and non-Roma youth organizations from 12 European countries; • share and disseminate successful practices based on creativity; • promote the visibility of Roma and non-Roma youth active citizenship to combat racism and xenophobia, in order to create opportunities of dialogue between young people from different cultural background by addressing it to relevant stakeholders; • raise the participation of young Roma in the new Erasmus plus programme and develop new cooperation projects. All the project related materials, photos, videos, results etc. were published on a FB group (https://goo.gl/SiWDwF) in order to serve as a basis for all participating organizations as well as other youth organizations. Follow-up texts were published after the training http://goo.gl/gwCZUe also, the actions for the international youth day were covered by the media (http://goo.gl/JoikoU; http://goo.gl/goe4wv). The participating organizations benefited strongly from the exchange of experience, knowledge and transfer of successful practices through this training, as well as through on/offline tools during follow-up, in order to strengthen innovative methods and approaches in non-formal education, social inclusion and challenging stereotypes and antigypsyism by using creativity. All partners had the possibility to position themselves by mainstreaming their inclusive, empowering and participative approaches on the respective levels and fulfil their own missions. This project managed to get empowered, trained and capacitated young Roma and non-Roma as multipliers, role models and active citizens and raised their capacity, creativity, initiative, self-esteem, negotiating power to advocate their own needs to achieve sustainable effects in their own realities. The biggest impact was that the young Roma themselves realized that the world is not just problematic but there are options for them to construct their own future.
