Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Diakonisches Werk Bremen developed a European strategy for its work in adult education for disfavored target groups. As part of this, we identified a need to strengthen the level of creativity in pedagogical practice - especially theatre and dance projects - , and the level of intercultural competency within the organization. With a view to achieving these objectives, we involved selected staff and free-lancers in a European training project, led by the UK-based organization Border Crossings and a partner organisation in KocaeliTurkey, which work in intercultural theatre and adult education resp. dance projects with migrants and minority Groups (refugees, Roma). Border Crossings organized two times a 7 day structured international course in the UK for 2-3 selected staff members and a seminar for project management staff. The participants developed their practice alongside people from similar organizations across Europe, benefitting not only from the training provided by a leading organization in this area, but also from the exchange and networking of best practice with their European peers. The courses made use of creative theatre techniques to lead participants through the process of creating their own intercultural performance work, with the effect of developing a strong sense of cultural difference and the methodology of intercultural dialogue. A focus was laid, following actual challenges during the two years, in creative work with incoming refugees. The project management seminars enhanced the competences in project planning, realization and evaluation and will discuss issues of acknowledgement and certification of competenes gained during theatrical and creative projects by participants and staff. The Adult Education Staff attending the seminar in Turkey will enhance competeneces regarding the realization of dance projects with special target Groups like Turkish Roma population. The results of these activities were put together and evaluated within our organisation and disseminated using internal training, external networks and media. We made use of the instruments within the ERASMUS + framework - as EPALE - and used national and european structures for discussion and dissemination. We see a significant impact on the development of our organization, its community-based work with migrants and other minority groups and its creativity in new approaches to adult education. This results were brought together in new theatre and dance projects and recommendations about learning aims in such projects.
