The aim of the project is to create the conditions of religious tourism between the Romanian Orthodox Churches from Békés and Arad counties. The main activities of the project are:i) Constructions, renovations, equipment acquisitionsPlanned works in Gyula: internal renovation of the cathedral St. Michael (ceiling, walls, renovation of frescoes at additional places, renovation of benches and their restoration); renovating, repairing the external facade transferring statues; the improvement of the walkway around the cathedral and the solution of the precipitation leading; illuminating the iconostasis considering the points of energy-saving; building a park, construction and founding of a summer altar in Máramaros style; purchasing triumphal arches (2) in Máramaros style their construction and founding.Planned works in Arad: construction of a church community place near to the II Micalaca Veche temple, a so called ecumenical centre; elements of the work: Musical artesian well - Holy Water Font, Road of Light with the solar spectrum pyramids, The Portal of Love and Wisdom, Social inter-confessional gazebo, Shopping stop with resting pergola, Sidewalks and pedestrian platforms paved with natural stone, Green areas and plantations, Ornamental lighting. Contained related equipments will be procured.Planned works in Pusztaottlaka: the full renovation of the almost a hundred years old vicarage while preserving its aesthetical value and original function and at the same time form into a Church community place, Purchase of equipments for the appropriate shaping of the vicarage and to fulfil the added function. Construction of a church community space in the Dragán-grange, with a wooden church in Máramaros style.ii) organising of joint ecclesiastical and cultural events: - in Békés County: Romanian cultural event, festival of patron Saints, religious and icon painting camp, religious Orthodox conference and religious and cultural youth programmes. - in Arad County: choir meetings (6 events), painting camp (4 events), and ecumenical study tour to the Romanian Orthodox temples of Arad (5 event), religious holidays (5 event), artisan camp for children (4 event)The target group is formed by the all tourists who arrive in Arad and Bekes counties.
