Rechercher des projets européens

Creating and publishing a multimedial GPS-based guide on hiking and biking around the European areas of Axente Sever (RO), Ehingen (D), Sabinov (SK)

In this intended project, students of three different nations and four different schools will work together to create a GPS based, multimedial hike and bike guide in the corresponding regions of the participating schools. Students will work together in small multinational groups and record pre-prepared Google-Earth tracks in the field with their GPS-devices.With that gathered navigational information and sight-seeing spots (natural and cultural!), students will create a database, a website and a pdf-/paper-brochure.This hiking guide can be downloaded from the corresponding project website as well as the downloadable digital tracks, which can be easily used for navigation in iPhones, iPods, cellphones and common GPS-devices.The purpose of this project is to develop a different kind of approach to tourism: soft and sustainable. The work on this project will awake the awareness of nature within the students' minds. The students will additionally benefit from this project in many other aspects, for example: working within a group of learners consisting of different age and cultural or social origin.Beside that, students will experience the width and extension of Europe and will be able to learn about cultural diversity. Especially the young Romanian pupils from Axente Sever will benefit from this project: they will have the possibility to learn about "their" Europe to which they belong despite the fact that they could not be a part of it so far, due to their economic situation.
