CreaSkiE (creative and skillful entrepreneurship)
Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

CreaSkiE Context and objectives: Bernardusscholen1 from Oudenaarde is a school with a lot of students who continue their studies in higher education. An important evolution in this context is the fact that the government wants schools to pay more attention to research competencies (RC). The report of the latest audit showed, however, that there were still shortcomings in terms of putting that into practice. To achieve the necessary quality improvement and to evolve with these new developments within the field of education, training of teachers needs to continue. We need to innovate at different levels of the school, more specifically within the economic section. So there is a need for a new, innovative approach with enough knowledge about RC, IT and specific tools with space for self -steering , entrepreneurial learning and co-teaching. Within research and education we see also developments in the area of IT that can play an important role. Think of digital survey tools to monitor results or tablets and smartphones that can be used to disseminate research results (and by extension the results of this project). To be acquainted with these innovations, within this project we decided to also pay attention to the skillful use of new IT tools such as QR codes and apps. Since creativity is a determining factor for entrepreneurial spirit, we chose to next to RC and IT also pay attention to creativity and creativity techniques. Objectives and participants: Management, middle management and teachers are currently working on a plan to bring the implementation of RC on a higher level. ' CreaSkiE ' provides an answer to this need for further professional development in the field of RC and focuses on teachers from the economic section, the management and middle management. Although we primarily focus on persons who teach within the economic section, also teachers who are active in the field of IT, modern languages and/or creative work forms can be involved in the project or in subsections of it. Thus this project also provides a solution for a point of attention which was encountered after an internal SWOT analysis: cooperation. Within the various departments we found out that a better consultancy and cooperation between ‘grades’ (vertical consultation) is necessary. We reckon this project will be a stimulating factor. With ' CreaSkiE ' we want to further develop the internationalization project of our school because we want this KA1 project in the future to be followed up by a KA2 project for pupils, based on the results and findings of it. In addition we hope with this project to involve a number of teachers who are rather sceptic about our international initiatives. Activities: Each participant at the start follows an eTwinning and Future classroom Lab training in Flanders. Mixed teams (management, middle management and teachers from three degrees) each follow in teams of three training and jobshadowing abroad. First they take a course in Madrid (Spain) then jobshadowing in Almere (Netherlands) then course in Valetta (Malta) and finally jobshadowing in Buzau (Romania). Half way through the project, each participant follows a training of ' digital dissemination ' in (presumably) Flanders. Output: With this project, we want to develop skills of management and middle management to implement RC in the school working plan. Teachers we want to provide with the competencies to implement the RC at course section group level and in class. We also want to connect creativity to the dissemination of research results on a visual, supra linguistic, interactive way. In addition, in the context of the development of a learning trajectory we also want to improve the attitude towards cooperation (because of the teambuilding aspect of job shadowing in group and exchanges with colleagues). By working at different levels, we want to improve the impact on different actors of the school: the class itself, the course section group, the coordination, the internationalization coordination and the management. Finally, this project will also contribute to the development of IT and language skills of the participant and, above all, the promoting of a growing intercultural awareness. Since within Flanders most schools are still "searching", they need to look for the necessary expertise and good practices in order to achieve optimal research competencies and entrepreneurial learning abroad. After this project we hope to also provide for the schools of the district and the school community (but also for other interested actors) a properly developed course. As a follow up we will with our partner schools and newcomers, develop a KA2 project to let also pupils maximally take profit of the acquired competencies.
