Cork 2014 - The First International Forum of the European Youth Parliament Ireland
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 1 déc. 2014 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project “International Forum of the European Youth Parliament in Cork”, under the theme "Green Light for Technology and Innovation" will create a unique forum for eight working days consisting of almost 200 young people between 16 and 22 years of age from over 15 European countries as well as local youth from Ireland. Participants will experience parliamentary democracy first-hand and articulate their views on current European issues. They will divide into 10 international committees with the aim to each draft a resolution on a current European topic and focusing especially on themes related to sustainable economies and emerging markets. The delegates formulate their own ideas based on real documents and resources, yet with the aim to propose innovative solutions. They will have the opportunity to consult relevant decision makers in the course of their discussions. The resolutions produced will then be debated in a two-day parliamentary assembly. Additionally, the International Forum will include a series of cultural events promoting intercultural exchange and dialogue and celebrating Europe’s rich cultural diversity. By taking part in the Forum, the young participants will go through a non-formal and informal learning experience aimed at the promotion of European citizenship, active participation and intercultural dialogue. Within the project the organisers wish to encourage young people to actively participate in discussions currently on the political agenda as well as to learn new skill through working in international multi-cultural teams on challenging political topics. Results from the forum will be published in the format of the resolution booklet and presented to decision makers in a follow up event. Cork 2014 - 1st International Forum of EYP Ireland will be organised and coordinated by voluntary active young, members of the hosting country EYP Ireland people aged between 18 and 25 making the Session an entirely youth driven project.
