"CORE - CLIL Objectives and ResourceKit in Education"
Date du début: 1 nov. 2011,

CORE Project SummaryThe project uses systematic, qualitative methods of action-research to investigate the implementation of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) “on the ground” in primary and secondary schools within a variety of socio-linguisitic contexts in 5 European countries. We give a particular emphasis to multi-lingual and officially bi-lingual regions. We complement current and often “top-down” theory and practice with a “bottom-up” exploration of “what works where, and why”.The result will be an innovative, practitioner-led integration of core CLIL principles into a self-sustainable and perpetually renewable state-of-the-art training and support programme for the local management of CLIL innovation by school leaders and other senior managers using the resources of their local educational networks. The project will draw upon the knowledge and experience of the educational advisors in its team in the organisational theory and practice of innovation management, and the use of AfL (Assessment for Learning) as a student-centred mechanism for the local evaluation of CLIL programmes. Major outputs and products will be: * Resource packs for the local management of CLIL innovation which update successively the partners’ initial report on the state of the art in their own localities;* Documentation of best practice in the local implementationof national and regional CLIL policies, including DVD presentations and other audio-visual materials;* Academic and professional publications feeding into regional symposia and an international conference on Making CLIL Work; * An EU-fundable training course for our target groups of teachers, school leaders, educational advisors, business-education link workers, and the members of local and national educational policy communities; a sustainable web-site as the basis for dissemination and exploitation of the project’s outputs.
