Being located only 12 km from eachother across the borders Židikai MarijaPečkauskaitė Secondary School (LT)and Vainode Secondary School (LV) areinterested in participating in joint project inorder to re-establish and strengthen theircooperation.The project objective is to share theexperience between two schools whileparticipating in exchange programmes andjoint artistic and sports activities in order todevelop the cooperation across the borders.The main target group are students andteachers of the local schools that benefitfrom the project activities like schoolcontests, sport competitions, conferences,joint trips, festivals, exhibitions, exchangeprogrammes, summer camps, developedjoint website. As the result the schoolsstrengthen their cooperation, share theexperience between Lithuanians’ artistictraditions and Latvians’ sports training fora better understanding of cultures andgrowing tolerance towards each other.
