Due to social and economic changes there has been a gradual tranformation of the arts & crafts of the Alpine area.Cultural heritage and traditional techniques are disappearing because of aboandonment of alpine territory and of little consideration new generations have for field.Project aims at bringing out arts & crafts through creation of synergies with tourism. After a careful analysis of traditional activites, rules and regulations will be worked out concerning how to award title of “Shop of Excellence” and methodologies for develpment of synergies between different sectors will be developed. Activity of animation and awareness-raising will be followed by experimentation, through pilot projects such as "School Shops", which will start up training courses for young people and tourists;creation of tourist itineraries for re-discovery of arts & crafts traditions; exchanges between masters of arts & crafts from partner regions; organization of thematic transnational exhibitions.
