The project "Coolinary" takes place from the 5th to the 12th of August 2015 in Kryoneri Korinthias, Greece. In total 18 Youngsters from Greece, Estonia and Liechtenstein will actively deal with the topics culture and food. As we are situated in an agricultural area there are a lot of possibilities for outdoor activities. It offers also on-topic study visits to local vineyards, cheese and olive productions but also to culturally interesting sights of the Korinthias. The aim of this project is to enable youngsters to explore the cultural diversity of Europe, to raise awareness of a healthy lifestyle, for resources and environment throughout food and the act of cooking. By reflecting our own cultural background and learning from others lifestyles and particularities we want to show youngsters a rich and diverse Europe. In the main activity "Food-Workshop" consits of four sesseons. There we gather national recepies and invent new ones, cook over fire and make traditionall oven baking. The output of this workshop will also be the main output of the project; a "recepy-book" with traditional dishes from the participating countries but also dishes the participants invented. The participants will layout, visualiuze and in the end present the "recepy-book" on the public intercultural evening. This workshop shall promote the courage to cook and to use your creativitiy in the kitchen. Study visits to small organic farms as well as olive, cheese and wine production will help the participants to learn about a "green way" of living and the origin of food. Participants will face problems like the outflow of people in rural areas. In the "Land-Art-Worshop" we promote creativity and a sensitivity for nature, support the ability to express feelings, and stories throughout artworks. In reflecting and talking about the work communication will be fostered. Interculturality and language is also an important point of this project. With the "Language dictionary" have the possibility to daily use the mother tounge languages of the participants. In the "Intercultural evenings" the youngsters will present food and traditional dishes, as well as music and dances to the other participants. These activities shall open up the interest for other cultures and countries and shall rais awareness for european citizenship. Young people from different cultural and social background and youngsters with fewer oppurtunities will be involved in this project. In workshops of non-formal education such as brainstormings, group building games, energizers, peer-to-peer and learning-by-doing as well as outdoor and sportive activities youngsters come together in a more playful way whereby cultural and social boundaries can be overcome. Group work shall develop group-work and cooperative skills and respect for others. In the daily "Circle" the youngsters will give a feedback on the activities and will be able to work up the experiances. Communication skills and social competences will be tutored. The youthpass will give the possibility to the youngsters to reflect the acquired skills and the received knoledge by writing self-assessment at the end of the project. The main output of the project will be the "recepy-book". It will be spread trough the participants and the participating organizations. Local medias such as newspapers and radios will be used to report about the project and Erasmus+ in a wider range. A video documentation will be made about the project that gives an even wider possibility to disseminate the experiances of the youngsters and the results of the project.
