Continuing Professional Development for The Bliss Charity School
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project set out to maintain and develop both the curriculum and our own school structure by improving the schools development through access to the best Professional Development and practice offered by education providers across Europe. By sending a wide selection of teachers on courses that will have maximum impact on the school improved upon our own excellent practice and work collaboratively with many new schools and cultures. We anticipated that links and contacts made would last well beyond the duration of the project and continue our strong International perspective. We have applied for an Erasmus KA2 project with new partners made through this programme. We have visited schools in Romania, Finland and Slovenia with an aim to share pedagogy and systems of education. This has been extra to the mobilities of the project but as a direct result. Our objectives were to: Develop the pedagogy of the school through interaction with other systems and cultures. Develop the teaching skills of our staff so that the children benefit from a diverse and exciting pedagogy. Create a motivating and stimulating curriculum that meets the needs of our children in the 21st Century. Create a sharing culture where best practice is developed and shared across a wide educational spectrum . The project entailed a total of five teachers receiving training in 3 different countries ( France, Finland and Spain) and experiencing development in languages, literacy and leadership. 5 members of staff attended were selected ensuring we had a range of experience attending from Middle and Senior leaders to less experienced members of staff The greatest in school impact was developing our curriculum using a variety of support that is tailored to our own needs but influenced by a great variety of specialists. A number of pre-course tasks and post course evaluations and feedback were carried across our own school, cluster and county. This became an integral aspect of the Teaching School Alliance, of which we are strategic board members with responsibility for Leadership Development.
