The project aims to facilitate know-how exchange through joint action of professionals, on three interconnected themes: health education in schools, culture preservation, and promoting volunteering for palliative care, so as to build healthy local communities. Main activities consist in cross-border networking activities (thematic workshops, international conference, meetings), local activities (presentation sessions in schools, a cultural event for traditional culture preservation, development of a guide on volunteering and palliative care) organizational development activities (consultancy meetings, mediate consultancy, advocacy capacity building). Achievements: increased cross-border communication among experts; increased cross-border cooperation of NGOs; a better understanding of the importance of interdisciplinary perspectives when approaching community problems; raised awareness of local authorities regarding the involvement in school life of specialists who are not traditionally included; raised awareness of the members of the community to emerging needs (health prevention, palliative care, cultural heritage preservation).
