The Project called “CON ELLOS SOMOS +” offers to young Europeans the possibility of join a volunteering experience through the activities developed in two of the socio-educational organizations of Valladolid (Spain): Asociación Allende Mundi and Casa de Juventud Aleste.ENVIRONMENT:The project is developed in two areas of the city of Valladolid. The activities of Allende Mundi are carried out in the neighborhood La rondilla, which population has diverse personal, social, economic and cultural needs.La Casa de Juventud Aleste is located in the east area of the city, which includes several neighborhoods of the outskirts (Pajarillos, Las Flores, Pilarica and Delicias), most of them at risk of exclusion. There are a great number of immigrants or people belonging to ethnic minorities.AIMS:- Promote learning through the European voluntary experience in the organizations or partner entities.- Promote the voluntary work and the sense of membership in social organizations.- Facilitate the intercultural youth exchange, bearing in mind the group to work with; Collaborate in the personal development of the young volunteer.- Give an European and International dimension to the entities and the actions that are carried out in the project- Integrate the European youngsters in a cultural, social and professional reality in the area of Valladolid- Promote the networking among different organizations working in the youth field- Participate in the development of competences and knowledge of the volunteer through the training and following him/her during the process- Improve as much as possible the situation of the person in risk of exclusion involved in the activities- Make the youngsters feel they are the protagonists and at the same time make youngsters and volunteers feel involved in the project.Coordinating organization: Casa de Juventud AlesteReceiving organizations: Asociación Allende Amundi and La Casa de Juventud AlesteSending organizations: - ASSOCIAZIONE InCo – Interculturalità e Comunicazione (Italy)- STRANAIDEA S.C.C. IMPRESA SOCIALE ONLUS (Italy)- Centre Regional Inter-associatif et de Soutien Techniquepour les Echanges Européens en Lorraine (CRISTEEL) (France)The volunteers we will host have to fulfill the following requirements:- They have to be youngsters aged between 20 and 30- Preferably with training in voluntary work , in education/ social field- With competence in Spanish language- With capacity of adjustment and teamworkACTIVITIES:The activites are developed in the following programs:CASA DE JUVENTUD ALESTE- Program of integral intervention with minors- Program of prevention of the youth marginalization- Program Sala Aleste of prevention of the school failure- Program of social and labour Insertion with youngsters- Program of leisure and free educational time- Program of Camps during the school vacationsALLENDE MUNDI- PAI : program of Special Attention- INTERVENCIÓN EN MEDIO ABIERTO: educational intervention in the street- CHIQUIALLENDE : leisure and free time activities- TALLER DE VALORES: playful activities with a reflective component- DESVÁN DE MELINKA : creative library- LUDOTECA : leisure and free time activities, and academic revision- CREARADIO : radio programs developed by students and graduates in Journalism.In addition they will realize tasks of management and administration, they will participate in the meetings of the team of the different programs and they will program several activities.METHODOLOGY:We count on the active participation of the volunteers in the activities planned and on the teamwork as a method that facilitates an atmosphere of trust. The actions raises the interest for the teamwork, helps to share the knowledge and facilitate the intercultural exchange, the use of the language and allow working on the European dimension in the whole project.RESULTS, IMPACT AND LONG-TERM BENEFITS:Referring to the different sections of the project in which the headings are developed:The results agree with an improvement in the competences of each one of the volunteers who take part in the program, from a European key. It also will affect effectively the addressees of the social programs, with a wider opening to Europe and its richness of cultural and values diversity . The impact will be direct, for both host entities, the volunteers and the addressees of the programs.- The long-term benefits are assured because we are talking about personal and educational processes that are going to strengthen the character, the habits, the attitudes and the aptitudes of the volunteers and the addressees, as well as the dynamics of the proper entities.
