COMUNIS Inter-municipal cooperation for Strategic Steering of SME-oriented Location Development in the Alpine Space (COMUNIS)
Date du début: 30 juin 2009, Date de fin: 29 juin 2012 PROJET  TERMINÉ

In the Alps, the strategies of commercial development on the municipal level have been to react to single cases in the short term. A coordinated and concerted strategy using the regional and local potentials is missing. COMUNIS aims at developing a well-defined integrative and cooperative strategy for Commercial Location Development (CLD) and enhancing inter-municipal and intra-territorial cooperation to overcome individualistic attempts of problems solution on the level of single municipalities. COMUNIS will provide broadly adaptable guidelines to apply this strategy and practical instruments for the assessment of the local and regional demand for and the steering of commercial development with particular focus on diversification and efficiency of economic activities, environmental and social concerns, human and cultural capital. Furthermore the project will result in a transnational knowledge management and establish sustainable structures for managing CLD in the pilot regions. Achievements: With the project slowly coming to its end, the implementation of structures for commercial location development (CLD) on the inter-municipal level is accompanied by a considerable work of capitalization of project findings and results. The core of the guidelines will be structured along the different steps of the CLD-process, the respective milestones and results. Concerning the transferability of the organizational model described in the guidelines, it has been proposed to define the success factors for their transferability from country to country. The guidelines will be integrated in the project synthesis booklet and in the popular-scientific final publication.
