Date du début: 14 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 13 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project"Practical competences at a European level-professionalism and competitiveness in initial training of the students(COMPETENT-EU)"was implemented in the Erasmus+ programme,in a period of one year and as main objective it aimed at students acquiring practical professional competences for the qualifications of auto mechanic and transport technician so as they to become competitive on the European labour market,as well as preparing the transition from school to active life.Specific objectives referred to developing competences of communication in English,of using ICT,intercultural and entrepreneurial competences. The project involved a number of 76students,with 40students level 3 for the professional qualification of auto mechanic and 36 level 4 for the professional qualification of transport technician, and envisaged the following modules:“Local development curriculum-Rational exploitation of internal combustion engines”for auto mechanic and“Fault detection”and“Planned maintenance”for transport technician. The students involved come from three vocational schools:Liceul Tehnologic Costesti(30),AG;Liceul Tehnologic“Dinu Bratianu”Stefanesti(30),AG end Liceul Tehnologic“Capitan Nicolae Plesoianu”Ramnicu,VL(16),VL.The activities were carried out in 4 flows as follows:1-22students,2-22students,3-16students,4-16students.The receiving organisation was Tellus College,Plymouth-UK,providing modern equipment that allowed the attainment of all objectives planned in the project. The three schools formed a National Consortium for the project, based on common qualifications and common need to find new ways of successfully adapting the students’ competences to the requirements on the labour market. The facilities in the school are unable to follow the new technologies, the students lack opportunities to work with modern equipment, there is a strong competition among schools with similar qualifications. The project therefore contributed to the attainment of the priorities and strategic targets proposed in the Action Plans of the Schools, including the European Development Plan, towards assuring quality education,in accordance with the requirements of the labour market. With a large number of students involved coming from different geographical areas, the project managed to prepare a large number of graduates for the labour market. The training periods corresponded very well to the initial training need of the students and helped them develop specific professional and personal competences necessary for future employment-16of the students managed to find a job.For a proper implementation of the project, the project team provided pedagogical preparation, cultural and linguistic preparation for the target group and followed precisely all the stages:informing, selection, preparation, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, dissemination and exploitation of the project results, contributing to the success of the project which motivated both students and teachers to take part in future projects. The students undertook training inside the workshops of the VET training provider-Tellus College, followed the ECVET training programme“responsible work practice”,with periods of training taking place at sites corresponding to the qualification.Through participation in the mobility the students gained huge added value. At the personal level, participation in a training programme in a foreign country allowed the development of specialised practical technical competences;they developed relations with students from other European countries, with professional employees, which allowed the development of linguistic competences, entrepreneurial competences, the improvement of attitudes regarding responsibility and active involvement at the working place;the development of ICTskills for the diagnosis of internal combustion engines and automobiles;the development of teamwork and responsibility at the work place. At the cultural level the participating students improved their knowledge about the values of other nations and European cultures, improved their knowledge about the cultural heritage of humanity in general. At the linguistic level, the students proved new improved competences of communication in English, due to the situations when they had to communicate with the training tutors, with English students or students from other countries they met at the receiving institutions during the training activities or socio-educational activities, with the host families, with other people in different contexts(visits to cultural and historical sights,at the airport,at shopping etc).Another aspect of the added value provided by the project were the certificates received by the students enriching their personal portfolio. The competences acquired by the students during the mobility activities were certified by the Europass Mob.document, the ECVET certificate, and the work certificate, all these being the basis of the transnational mobility increasing their employability on the labour market
