PROJET
TERMINÉ
There will be 28 participants in this project (school inspectors , Gendarmerie officers, psychologists and specialist from "Save the Children" NGO, all having also competences of trainers):
- 13 School Inspectors;
- 6 representatives of the Inspectorate of Gendarmerie- Arges County , members of The Department for Prevention and Fight against Crimes;
-5 specialists experienced in this topic, from the NGO-Save the Children, Arges branch;
-4 school psychologists from the Arges county .
These participants selection meet objective criteria, directly connected with the aims of the project.
We consider that it is important to mention that this target group has been and so will be a constant working group in the Arges county.
The identified need is that the main responsible institutions lack the updated knowledge regarding the management of violence phenomenon in the educational environment. The direct effects of this reflect over their capacity of dealing this phenomenon by working side by side with other counterparts and over their skills in transferring their own experience to the direct beneficiaries.
From our previous analysis of the problem, the partners in this project have concluded the following causes: the lack of specialised training at the national level in a field quite new for the Romanian specialists, that of the management of violence phenomenon in the educational environment; the lack of experience on how was this problem successfully approached by others; they don't master adapted working methods to the different target groups they work with: grown-ups and students and each one of these groups are also divided into multiple categories, for example teachers, managers, parents with different levels of education but also officials from various public institutions, etc.
Therefore, the aim of the project is to improve the professional stakeholders' competences on violence phenomenon management in the educational environment. The OBJECTIVES are:
1. to increase the quality of their professional activity for the educational institutions in the county and other counterparts ( state and public institutions);
2. to improve their competences;
3. to gain through job-shadowing a coordinated and common professional improving experience to all the representatives of the institutions involved in the management of violence phenomenon in the educational environment (in other words, each one of the participants might have had or can have other trainings separately/individualy, but for this problem they have worked and will work together in the future years, so the positive results can come from the way they cooperate and transfer their knowledge, so their knowledge and skills need to be not only updated but also coordinated and this can happen by gaining the same experiences under similar influences);
4. to ensure international experience with the aim of learning (or "how have the others dealt with this problem").
At the end of the job-shadowing experience, they will be significantly more efficient in their professional activity. The will have international experience which will add also credibility to their future activity in the field of educational environment related to conflict potential and violence management. They will be able to bring positive influence among the educational institutions in the Arges county (school managers, teachers, Administration Councils,community, etc) by mastering common knowledge and updated working methods with different target groups and for different beneficiaries.
The mobilities will take place in UK, out of the reasons exposed before, related both with this country's experience in this area and with the receiving organisation's background, in 4 stages (flux) starting with September 2014 to May 2015, involving also meetings with counterparts from UK and in various institutions similar with those we are working with, public and educational (County Hall, centers of education, schools, NGO's, etc). There will be monitoring and evaluation during the flux and at the end of it. It is a comprehensive procedure, in order to achieve the participants objectives which will lead to the final certificate.
Of course, everything will be disseminated according to a realistic but efficient plan (more information on this in H2.2. -Dissemination).
