Project CAMP 15: Competences Achieved by coMradeship and Participation 15 united partners from Slovenia, Croatia (fire youth mentors) and Cyprus (members of the Social Forum). 39 participants, of which one third with fewer opportunities spent 8 days in Gozd Martuljek. The main themes were participation to increase the social inclusion, understanding democracy in the organization of the hierarchical organization and mentoring/leadreship. Through a non-formal and casual learning and peer learning, such as outdoor activities, motivational games, taking part in debates, simulations, storytelling, role play, self-promotion and monitoring young people, they strengthened their personal management, communication and social skills, developed creative programs for working with young people and tried them selves in a role of a leader. The participants recorded the highlights of each day into a blog. Results and achievements are also collected in a publication (printed and e-form). Young people worked as much as possible by themselves. They took over the management of various workshops and took responsibility for its objectives. It was not always easy, and many people were in their first such experience. However, it is necessary to start somewhere. Young people have been forced to think about the content of their workshop, how to find a way to attract and retain the attention of their colleagues. Most of them have experienced that good preparation is essential and required considerable effort to show a focus of the content and that is not so self granted that you learn someone something - that you don’t stay only at the level of the game. One week was in this way colored with three nationalities, English, diverse activities (at a table but also in nature), learning about cultural differences, some communication clutters and especially identifying and mastering competencies. The participants got to know Kranjska Gora with Zelenci, Bled, we visited the Training Centre for Civil Protection and Rescue at Ig and Ljubljana. One whole day, we were also active in the domestic fire station Šinkov Turn, where by visiting us its support for our project proved the Mayor county Vodice Aco Šuštar
