Concordia Rhone-Alpes proposes different kind of voluntary service, in order to promote intercultural exchanges and active citizenship. Both volunteers - Belarussian and Italian girls - will get invested from september 2014 for a six-month service in Lyon. Their missions will consist in communicating about these different activities, and finding new ways to make awareness for active citizenship and European feeling among local population. To deal with these issues, they will present the activities of the organisation to youngsters, and speak about their own experiences; they will set up thematic workshops about their culture or specific issues linked to mobility; they will develop, in the frame of their personal project, new tools to tackle citizenship issues, or to communicate about Concordia Rhône-Alpes values. We encourage the active participation of the volunteers, to allow them to develop new skills, and tools for personal and social flourishing. For all the stakeholders, we hope that this project will be a great intercultural experience, and an opportunity to tackle the European Identity, making it more real. We hope that this project will allow all of us to develop a mutual understanding between cultures and we hope that it will participate to enhance transnational links and mobility of persons.
