Combating youth unemployment

The White Paper 2005, the 2009 youth strategy "Youth - Investing and Empowering”, the results of European Year 2010 and the perspectives of the European Year 2011, the set Agenda 2020 and the vision of a Youth programme of the EC with focus on mobility starting 2014 provides an opportunity to translate experiences and perspectives into practice and to apply the themes volunteering, entrepreneurship education and empowerment into the field of youth work. Therefore the TC is aimed to gather youth workers and daily staff from youth centres, help and information centres, youth councils and other to exchange experiences, to gain skills and knowledge in the fields of volunteering, entrepreneurship education and empowerment of youth and develop strategies in fostering creative, independent, non-traditional ways of thinking and acting in business and employment prospects for youth. In order to reach these goals the TC will focus on the analysis of the national realities of the countries concerned, the capacity building of organisations as the first key element as well as the capacity building of youth concerned as the second key for volunteering, entrepreneurship education and empowerment. In a next step we will create long term impacts through the development of future cooperation’s in the field in order to strengthen the results of the TC. The project is based on the realisation of core working sessions, implemented through the use of non-formal methods as inputs and discussions in plenary sessions, exercises and simulations, thematic working groups and workshops, meetings and open space technology, providing further knowledge and understanding of the issue. A particular emphasis is given to exchanging non-formal educational practices and establishing links between the partner organizations. The TC will take place 03.10.2011.- 11.10.2011. in Kikinda, Serbia with 35 participants from partner countries and partner countries from SEE.
