In the previous years, the economic crisis has created "young people with fewer opportunities" and has increased the unemployment rate, especially between the ages of 18-30. Several youth organizations are asked to meet these new needs by creating and experimenting with new, innovative methodologies. The objective of this seminar is to achieve an exchange of good practices and the creation of new methodologies, which will help the organizations dealing with young people to create and develop activities to address the phenomenon of youth unemployment and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through innovative programs - actions. The project is addressed to persons who work with young people and have an active involvement regarding the planning and the implementation of projects. In order for participants to cover this profile, they should have worked in youth organizations. Therefore, we expect that the average age of the participants will be 25-35 years old. This age context is considered as the most appropriate, as the participants will have the necessary experience and they will be able to disseminate the project results and adopt what they’ve learned. Participants will take part in various activities, group discussions, group work, presentations and workshops where non formal learning method and tools will apply in order to exchange ideas, concepts and experiences with a view to achieving the objectives and learning outcomes of the project. The main activities of the seminar will focus on overcoming the problems facing young people at work in several EU countries (participating countries), the employment policies of each country and finding good practices and ways to promote youth employability (employment) and social inclusion. To achieve the objectives of the project and to have the best possible learning outcomes, non-formal learning will be used as the main working method of the seminar. Among others, workshops, group work, presentations, peer education, simulations, brainstorming, debates, group building activities, reflection & discussion groups, case studies, presentation tools / methods / practices and many others methods of formal education and informal learning will be used. Questions, group discussions and individual work will be used to ensure better understanding and assimilation of concepts. The results of the project will be (a) the exchange of good, new and innovative practices and tools (b) creation of new methods, tools and techniques, and (c) the training of participants in identifying the needs of young people, design and implementation of actions aimed at combating social exclusion and youth unemployment. The impact of the project will be direct to the participants, and the participant organizations, as well as to the communities in which they operate. Participants and organizations will learn new tactics, methods and tools to use in their local communities to combat youth unemployment and social exclusion of young people. Also, through the enrolment in a multicultural environment, participants will gain experiences that will enable them to accept foreigners and be able to work in such environment. All these will help in bettering both personal and working lives of participants, with positive effects on their organizations and their working communities. Long-term benefits will occur through the creation of new tools, techniques, methodology and a useful handbook on combating social exclusion and youth unemployment. All the above will be available to anyone wishing to use them, and through them, some young people will be able to avoid social exclusion and find work in various fields.
