PROJET
TERMINÉ
The project involves a total of four schools: the country Germany (sending organization), Ireland, France and Hungary (host organizations) .
The aim is to encourage and also challenge young people in initial vocational training (target group of the project are students in the second year of training) concerning professional skills, language and culture in order to promote the purposes of European unification and the programs for Lifelong Learning. The project is under the premise ECVET.
The departments of catering of the vocational schools involved are responsible for the training of chefs / cooks and hotel and restaurant professionals.
As a result of this professional internship, participants will be given the opportunity to get a comprehensive insight into the operations of their profession in several European countries and so to question their own work in their training company and expand their practical professional skills.
By attending such a project trainees qualify sustainably for future challenges in the labor market.
Just for this professional group, it is particularly important to acquire „international competences“ and to gain experience.
Through these planned flows the young people, who often come from disadvantaged socio -economic conditions, should receive this unique opportunity of training.
The following mobilities are planned:
Flow 1: Hungary, 3 Weeks, Spring 2016 (12 trainees)
Flow 2: France, 3 Weeks, Autumn 2016 (12 trainees)
Flow 3: Ireland, 3 Weeks, Spring 2017 (14 trainees)
In order to increase the skills of the participants, they receive adequate cultural and linguistic preparation (local language and lingua franca English) at the sending institution and precise tasks for mobility in the current host country. This creates the preconditions for an evident success in learning.
The participants will do an internship in companies in the region for 9-10 days. The remaining days will be used for project work and cultural activities.
Units of learning outcomes for each flow will be developed. A review and evaluation of acquired skills is carried out in accordance with ECVET. For this purpose, appropriate materials are developed that make the learning achievements traceable and documented (f. ex. Euro passport, certificate of the sending institution).
The skills acquired will be checked by an interview on the basis of the units of learning outcomes. Together with a member of the partner organization a half-hour interview with each trainee will be held on-site at the end of each flow. The Commission will evaluate the participants on the basis of the interviews and the project work. Also soft skills such as the social behavior or the way people work are involved.
So the learning outcomes (learning objectives) are specifically described, evaluated and documented with this project.
Long years of experience show that such mobility leads to other positive additional effects, such as improved social behavior (in the work process and in the community of trainees), increased self-confidence, a better understanding of culture and not least better chances on the European labor market.
In order to confirm the cooperation with the receiving institutions (here: partner schools) preparatory visits are planned. These are intended to strengthen the longstanding relationships and specifically improve project work to ensure that implementation of ECVET can be done efficiently and sustainably.
For a lasting and long term planning for the realisation of our projects, we will also apply for the Mobility Charta for vocational training.
