The students from Emergency Medical Technical Dept. Will complete their internship on Emergency Health Care in Cases of Natural Disasters, teams and equipment, emergency service equipment, approaching emergency patients and chain of processes and similar applications in European Emergency Health Care. The students from the Nursing Dept., on the other hand, will study on child health and development, newborn issues and care, infectious diseases in children and their care, measures against accidents, mental, physical and affective disorders in children and European Technologies on child health and care. The participants will be selected among 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. The majority of the participants will consist of female students. The opportunity will be announced to the students and the volunteers will be tested in language and vocational skills. The students with scores of 4 for vocational tests and the ones with scores of 3 for language skills will be evaluated. The best efforts will be conducted to select the academically successful and exceptional ones with their attitudes and behaviors. The internship activities will be carried out with the seminars, workshops and meetings and students will be given opportunities to apply their knowledge on service. Many of the literature in the field indicates the fact that training provided at the vocational schools are inefficient. Even though the graduates of these schools gain information in their fields, they don’t have enough chance to apply what they have learned. This project will be even more important to fill in this gap. At the end of the project, students will be more qualified and will have more employment opportunities. There will be substantial amount of information and experience flow from Europe to Turkey. The students will be awarded certificates at the end of the project which will also help them for easier employment. The targets of the project are as follows:- To improve the skills of participants from Nursing and Emergency Medical Technical Departments through European applications and experiences.- To award participants with certificates that will provide better and easier employment opportunities.- To spread the European application in Turkish vocational schools of medicine.- To enable the participants active involvement in foreign cultures.- To improve students’foreign language skills.- To increase participants dedication to their future jobs and their motivation. It is also anticipated that spreading outcomes of learned methods and acquired experiences in Bolvadin province and Afyonkarahisar city limits will contribute the health services. It is also expected that our project will provide new developments in training/education curricula and innovative developments in the field in the long run.
