CO2-Neutral Transport for the Alpine Space (CO2-NeuTrAlp) (CO2-NeuTrAlp)
Date du début: 31 août 2008, Date de fin: 30 août 2011 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Alternative propulsion technologies for transport on the basis of renewable energies (RE) shall be implemented by local users of the Alpine Space: 1.) A variety of solutions will be applied in regions with differing resource potentials; 2.) Technical solutions will be harmonised in order to set international standards; 3.) Transnational exchange of know-how promotes the competitiveness of the Alpine Space. Through the use of new technologies of propulsion based on RE, the region will promote the independency from energy imports, job creation in (rural) areas, and the dynamics and competitiveness of Alpine SMEs. In partnership with experts from research and private business public authorities and transport companies will be enabled to test in pilot projects different available propulsion technologies in varying local applications. Those solutions will be analysed according to applicability, cost efficiency, local environmental footprint, ecological and economical effects. Achievements: During reporting period seven, two transnational working meetings took place. For both meetings, a public event was hold back to back, including the final project conference in Milano. An additional public meeting took place in the Allgäu (Germany) together with the City of Kempten and the World Advanced Vehicle Expedition (WAVE). Through these public events as well as the wide media coverage the visibility of the project was maintained at a high level. The most important outputs of this reporting period are the two project guidelines that were finalised, printed and distributed to the public at the final conference in Milano. In Milano, the political lobbying campaign was successfully initiated and is now operating. Milestone 3 is therefore achieved.
