CMP - Career Manager Project

The CMP project will develop self-assessment and self-development tools & materials to support individual career planning and job search and will further develop and host 'Career Managers Training' for course tutors & trainers. The primary tool to be developed will be a self-assessment manager (SAM) which will be an interactive tool covering psychological testing, electronic careers advice & information and mock selection, assisting individual students in assessing their own strengths & weaknesses and in the development of a personal character profile.A further, paper-based, Career Manager (CM) will also be developed in the form of a calendar or organiser to support professional development planning or career time management.Piloting will be undertaken on both SAM and CM, with findings influencing the final products and, beyond the piloting, a Career Managers Training Guide (CMTG) will be developed to include a training program, training guide and participants manual. A 'Train The Trainers' session will be held for representatives from 40 universities across the partner countries, thus informing and empowering individual tutors/trainers in being able to operate the Careers Development programme. Those undergoing this training will receive certification of training undergone. For final dissemination, then CM will be output through training courses operated by the newly trained tutors/trainers across the partnership countries. SAM will be promoted and made available through major student and e-recruitment portals (internet-based) across the partner countries. Results and achievements of the project will be promoted through articles in relevant journals, presentation at AIESEC Career Days and through awareness raising across existing partner networks.
