?Cluj-Napoca 2015 Youth Capital (1)? is an initiative of Support for Youth Development Association (S4YD) from Cluj-Napoca who's mission is to support youngsters from the local community in gaining information, skills and abilities to have a higher accesibility on the labour market and to offer the possibility of accessing alternative education in order to meet their needs. The present project focuses are on creativity and culture, youth inclusion and equity, youth participation, but also integrating and having an effect upon rural communities around Cluj-Napoca City. The EVS project will welcome 11 volunteers from different countries that will develop projects included in the themes already mentioned and taking into consideration the project?s objectives: A. Implementing educational activities aimed to develop youngster? social, linguistic and management skills; B. Developing EVS volunteers? social, linguistic and management skills and C. Promoting opportunities of development and implication in society for youth. The mentioned objectives will be achieved through the following activities: - Secondary research on market opportunities for youngsters to get involved in the community and dissemination of the information through the electronic newsletter and social media (Facebook, Twitter etc); - Study visits in the local community and primary research on youth, social centers, NGOs, orphanages and other centers that offer the possibility of volunteering; - Creation and implementation of youth activities and projects included in the Framework and Frame of Activities of the European Youth Capital Cluj-Napoca 2015 - Organising foreign language classes involving youngsters from the local community; - Organization and implementation of different non-formal activities: debates, workshops, trainings, social and cultural evenings, forum theatre, creative and innovation workshops etc., that are the main activities of our NGO. The present project will take place in Cluj-Napoca, from 1st of August 2014 until 31st of July 2015, summing the total of 10 months of voluntary service. In order to provide cultural diversity our partners will be from different countries acting as sending organisations. Another priority of the project is inclusion of people with fewer opportunities, so the project will host 4 volunteers that are eligible in this criteria. The follow-up of this project will consist in the second EVS project (?Cluj-Napoca 2015 Youth Capital (2)?), which will be send for financing on the next deadline (30 October 2014). The second edition will involve also youth workers an a bigger number of volunteers that will come for long ans short terms stages.
