CLoud services for E-learning in Mechatronics technology
Date du début: 1 janv. 2012,

As mechatronics and industrial automation became the driving forces behind industrial plants and factories, as the competition in national and international markets is growing ever more intense and as there are clear demands on quality, productivity and flexibility, this project will improve the competitiveness of the sector via the provision of unique resources. These resources are dedicated to meet the demands on qualifications of each and every employee. In order to keep ahead of these demands the training of teachers and trainers is considered a key element in vocational education and training. This project deals with mechatronics and addresses the European need to update knowledge, to share experience and to develop cloud and service oriented solutions for teachers/trainers/teacher students and companies in the engineering sector. It falls under the objectives to contribute to the quality of learning, to support innovative ICT content and practices, and to promote exchange and cooperation among the target groups and stakeholders. This project will produce a number of unique results: The Manual of Best Practices for Cooperation will demonstrate a Network model for ensuring VET teachers' internationalisation, a capacity assessment of innovative methods for continual assessment of engineering knowledge and skills. The online learning modules & E-Learning courses will exploit meta-data (goals, tasks, training activities, time structure), learning aids (exercises, assessment material).Knowledge repository for VET teaching will be modelled in cloud services.Regarding the direct target group the impact of the project will result in enhanced learning-activities, in updated qualifications, in shared experience and in professional web-based solutions for teaching and learning. Regarding the sector the impact will be an improved strategic position, this project will lead to an impact in the area of quality of learning and innovative ICT content and practices.
