Historical Context: Our school has a double specificity, both being a training school, and including an “Anglo-American International Section” from elementary year 1 to 5. The project objectives are as follows: - Improvement of the teachers' linguistic skills - Analysis of pedagogical practices in foreign language teaching - Discovery of the school system of an English-speaking country - Development of the use of new technologies - Improvement of the pupil's skills in English - Reinforcement of the respect felt for other cultures by getting to know them better. Participants' profiles: Four teachers have benefited from mobilities: two teacher educators (Professeurs des Ecoles Maîtres Formateurs, PEMF), one International Section (SI) teacher, and one teacher under the process of certification as a teacher educator (PEMF). Activities: Activities during the mobilities focused on five key areas: improvement of linguistic skills, English-teaching practices, CLIL, job shadowing and exchanges on teaching practices, and enhancement of the cultural knowledge of the country visited. Impacts and Results: 1. On participants: refreshed and improved linguistic and cultural knowledge, as well as development of European citizenship. 2. On teaching practices: -> Enhanced teaching pratices, especially in connection with the French 2016 new national curriculum, which includes cultural aspects into linguisitc activities, -> Mixing within a working group pupils with different language learning paths, -> Mutualising practices with other European participants involved in the same mobility, and with other beneficiaries within our own organisation, -> Transmission towards other teachers in our school, -> Transmission towards trainee teachers during their job shadowing in educators' classes, -> Transmission towards students, whithin the Education Faculty (FDE) of Montpellier. 3. On organisations and systems: -> Reorganisation of pupils' distribution among classes: International Section pupils are now distributed in all classes of the schoool, -> Reinforcement of transdisciplinarity, -> Organisation of projects and/or events related to languages and cultures. Long-term benefits : - High-level skills in a foreign language for all pupils of the school: increase in the number of teaching hours, CLIL, - Higher average level of linguistics skills acquired by end of elementary school (A1+/A2 level of the CEFRL), - Easier communication between English-speaking pupils and their family, and the teachers, - Easier exchanges between English-speaking pupils and non-English-speaking pupils, - Development of long-term partnerships, with one or several institutions in an English-speaking country.
