Citizenship Language Pack For Migrants in Europe
Date du début: 1 janv. 2011,

The aim of the project is to develop, publish online, provide free access and disseminate a set of colloquial language learning exercises (L-Pack) in the 3 languages. The target languages will be those of the EU countries attracting the highest number of migrants, who do not speak the national language (German, Italian, Spanish, see Eurostat 2008) plus 3 other less widely used and taught languages (Modern Greek, Czech, Lithuanian). To this end, a preliminary need analysis amongst L2 teachers and migrants will be done. The L-Pack content, addressed to adult users starting from CEFL's level A2, will focus on the vocabulary needed to settle in the destination country, so to help immigrants to enter the local (national) labour market and to communicate in the workplace in ES, IT, DE, EL, CZ, LT. In this way, the project aims at faciliatte migrants' social and labour market integration and to reflect the cultural context of the destination countries. For each language, 12 units, for a total of 180 pages, 60 exercises, 60 dialogues and 60 videos will be produced. The L-Pack is addressed to teachers of L2 and organizations organizing L2 courses or training L2 teachers, third countries and EU national adult migrants in ES, IT, DE, EL, CZ, LT, organizations helping migrants insertion in these countries, other interested parties such as people interested in learning one of the target languages.Valorisation will be fostered by: writing two short guides addressed to L2 teachers and migrants on how to use the L-pack; training teachers to the use of L-Pack; disseminating the L-Pack though Wikibooks, Youtube and Mypodcast under a creative common copyright license; creating and managing a channel on Youtube collecting L2 videos addressed to migrants produced also by other organizations; supporting L2 teachers and learners though an Helpdesk; releasing the L-Pack under creative common license. The Project is composed by a consortium of 3 universities and 4 adults training organizations. All partners have a sound experience in teaching L2 to adult migrants; P1, P2, P5, P7 are L2 teachers trainers
