Project partners in Spain were euroMind and two VET schools: SAFA - Nuestra Señora de los Reyes and Los Salesianos Trinidad from Seville. EuroMind ensured the contact between the applicants and the VET schools where VET learners had their practical training. Electrical mechanics, electricians, plumbers, HVAC and plumbing-heating-gas fitters planned, assembled and installed solar photovoltaic and solar thermal systems in a self-sufficient house and car mechanics and car mechatronics assembled and tested an e-buggy and assembled a solar car park. EuroMind organized the VET staff training programme which included visiting three VET schools, and solar plant Abengoa. EuroMind also organized airport transfers and accommodation for the participants, a Spanish course for VET learners and workshops for teachers, as well as cultural trips and activities. VET teachers went on mobility in two groups, one consisting of 3 teachers from Industrijska škola from Split and 5 teachers from Obrtnička i tehnička škola Dubrovik and the other consisting of 8 teachers from Industrijsko-obrtnička škola Šibenik. VET learners went on mobility in three groups, the first consisting of 9 learners from the schools from Split and Dubrovnik respectively, the second consisting of 10 learners from Industrijsko-obrtnička škola Šibenik and 7 learners from Obrtnička i tehnička škola Dubrovnik and the third consisting of 18 learners from Industrijsko-obrtnička škola Šibenik. Each group of VET learners was accompanied by two teachers. VET staff had a one week mobility and VET learners had a two week mobility. The project objectives were to enhance the professional and personal development of participants, to contribute to the employability of participants, to improve their language skills, to contribute to interculturality, and to stimulate the development of schools, members of the consortium, as well as their international dimension. The duration of the project was 12 months and mobilities were carried out between January and May 2016. At the end of mobility the participants got Europass Mobility Documents, which will be used by learners when seeking employment and for a future mobility. The two weeks spent training abroad have been recognized and acknowledged as a part of their obligatory work placement in Croatia. The participants have acquired professional skills and competences, especially on new technology and renewable energy. VET teachers have also acquired new competences on inovative teaching methods and exchanged experiences with their Spanish colleagues, making valuable contacts for future cooperation. All participants have improved their foreign language competences. The schools have been increasing their international dimension, which will contribute to their quality and thus to the quality and atractiveness of vocational education and training in general.
