In the 21th century that our world is getting smaller, borders have been removed, societies and civilizations live in co-operation and unity, the principle of our school aimed a continuous innovation and a total cultural quality in order to carry out our county to the level of developed countries, contribute to the formation of the civilization, achieve a better level of education and create a more advanced industrial society. In this context, we wish to cooperate with other institutions and organizations sharing the same visions with us to carry out our works of local facilities to an international level. “WHY AGGRESSION IN AND AROUND SCHOOL?” We believe that the most urgent need of our school is to reduce early school drop-outs and based on this reason the increased national and international unemployment rate in line with the objectives of 2020 Europe strategies. On the basis of these early school drop-outs is rapidly progressive and uncontrollable violence both in and around the schools. For this reason firstly, we decided to study the level of violence in and around our school, then the reasons for violence, and finally the results of violence. Accordingly, we have examined the studies contacting similar problems in our school, disciplinary proceedings, the stakeholders' (parents, students, teachers, other staff) satisfaction surveys with wishes, complaints and suggestions. As a result, we find out that; 1. During 2013-2014 academic year, from total 1150 students 110 of them has been under discipline records and 75% of them included violent crimes, 2. Especially the issue of school security and the increasing problem of early school drop-outs have been under debate of school board, 3. The security issue is the priory problem of the satisfaction surveys, 4. According to the stakeholders’ wishes, complaints, and suggestions many problems are caused by bullying so, series precautions must be taken to prevent violence and provide security, 5. When the discipline records and autobiographies of students were analyzed clearly, it has become very certain that main causes of unwanted behaviors are based on bullying and the act of violence. At the same time, it is noticed that one or a few members of our students’ families were sentenced because of various crimes and this has a negative impact on the student’s social, cultural, psychological states. 6. It is observed that the students are sometimes involved into conflict with their friends and even teachers. Beyond this they use violence without no hesitation. We have witnessed that other students and the school staffs are affected by exposing to violence due to students' aggressive behavior. THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS AND OUR PROFILE This Project will be carried out by the director of the school, 1 vice-director, 1 technical teacher, 2 English teachers, and 2 Turkish Language and Literature teachers who are responsible with total quality management and school development. OBJECTIVES 1. Reducing the school based violence discipline punishments more than 70% percent, 2. Reducing early school drop-outs based on violence more than 90% percent, 3. Minimizing the problems of security in and around the school, 4. Increasing the satisfaction of parents, staff, and students in the results of “security and violence” titled surveys, 5. Organizing seminars for all 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th classes on different days, about the problem and prevention of violence on account of the pedagogical educations and cultural experiences gained in this course, 6. If required, re-organizing seminars for the other school around, 7. Creating a peaceful education environment with the help of these studies, 8. Organizing family education seminars to prevent family violence and provide children a loving and healthy environment, 9. Making the school environment more attractive for the students by increasing the number of social and cultural activities, thus student’s attendance problem will have been solved, 10. Raising awareness by educational and informative posters, and visual presentations, Finally we want to accomplish with this Project to reduce violence in and around our school radically and become a model to the other school and institutions.
