The entities forming part of CYBERSTRATEGY aim to define and adopt a new, sustainable telecentre model, with an adapted organisation and a strategy allowing the creation of a community for work and exchange among local actors and the centers offering services. Following the guidelines for eEurope 2005, it is important that telecentres become more professional and offer more specialised services that are specific for their communities, such as: making the latest technologies accessible, encouraging development of the “new economy” within enterprises, promoting the appearance of new professionals, etc. Overall objective / Objectif général The main objective is to give European telecentres strategic tools so that they can become landmarks for promoting the Information Society and NICT through: * Diagnosis of telecentres. * Creation of a new telecentre model to meet new needs. * Pilot experiments to apply the new model. * Expansion and implementation of the new telecentre model. Expected results / Résultats attendus • Conversion of telecentres into “Centres of excellence”. • Creation of a new management model for telecentres. • Drafting of a guide for self-diagnosis. • Creation of a European telecentre network. • Transfer of results to other European Union countries.
