The Project "Ciao Europe" will involve 6 VET students and 6 VET teachers from the Spanish Vocational Centre Salesianos Cristo Sacerdote from Huelva. The project will take place in the province of Messina (Italy), where we have 2 partners who will help us in the implementation of the project. The first partner is a College with a VET profile similar to ours. This partner will be responsible for the development and monitoring of training programs. The second partner is a non-profit Cultural Association with extensive experience in the management of European programmes. This partner will be responsible for the practical and cultural aspects of the project. The students selected for the mobility programme will find themselves in the second course of their VET studies (Medium Grade) taught at our Vocational Centre. The students come from 2 sectors: Technician in Electromechanics of Automotive Vehicles and Technician in Telecommunications. These students will have the opportunity of carrying out a work placement in Italian companies, selected by our partner in Italy, related to their professional profile. This work placement period will be recognized as part of the VET studies in Spain. The placements in companies will last one month and in average our students will complete 120 hours of training. This experience in companies at European level will mean added value to our student. This experience will allow our students to: -Improve their professional competences by completing the training received at our Vocational Centre -Improve their employability skills -Increase their language skills, learning a new language, Italian. -Develop personal skills like maturity and autonomy -Improve their interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a group -Increase their knowledge about European culture and the opportunities of the labour market at the European level VET Teachers have been already selected and they will participate in a job shadowing training programme in the facilities of our Italian partner. The training programme for teachers will last one week. Each Spanish teacher will follow an Italian colleague to observe how the VET teachers in Italy deliver classes in a VET context. As part of the training programme, our partner will organize some workshops to discuss topics related with VET system like: comparison of the system of VET system in Italy and Spain, the use of Information Technology for the vocational education, teaching methods to increase the motivation of VET learners, how to adap VET systems to the nowadays job market need and recycling of material in the VET workshops. This job shadowing programme will allow our teachers to achieve the following objectives: -To get to know materials, management systems and application of new technologies in a Vocational Centre at the European level - To update their teaching and motivational methods - To share experiences and best practices with Italian colleagues - To establish contacts with institutions and companies relating to placements in enterprise and employability for youth - To implement programmes increasing the employability skills for the youth and managing institutional relationships around the incorporation of technological innovations in the professional profiles of reference. The Vocational Centre Colegio Salesianos Cristo Sacerdote has designed a plan of evaluation of the results throughout the whole lifecycle of the project. Also we have planned to measure the long-term impact of the project. We have also established a strategy for the dissemination of the results so that the impact of the project is perceived for a large number of people and social agents that allow the sustainability of the results of the project in the long term.
