The project „By traditions and variety - for better and united Europe !" is 12 days long youth exchange which is going to be held i towns of Sadovo and Shumen in North - Eastern Bulgaria. The main goal of this project is trough youth exchange and the informal educational methods to stimulate the European dimension of saving and popularizing of cultural identity of the EU members. Trough this project we aim in the spirit of non-formal learning and multicultural environment the participants to learn more about different traditions and customs in the different countries and regions and to create new ideas how to popularize them and made them habits for the young people in Europe. Focus will be on not so popular and even forgotten traditions and customs. Young people will discuss and reveal new ideas how to stimulate volunteering as an instrument for saving and spreading EU cultural variety. The exchange will include participants from the next organizations Library "Bratstvo - 1860" Smyadovo, Bulgaria; ATCE Speranta Ramniceana, Romania ; EquaMente – Associazione Culturale e di Solidarietà, Italy ; ISLAHIYE KALKINMA EGITIM GENCLIK SPOR VE SOSYAL YARDIMLASMA DERNEGI, Turkey . Ech partner will send group of 9 participants - 8 young people at the age from 16 to 28, and 1 group leader. The activities can be divided into two goups: 1) Activities connected with non-formal education aimed to form concrete skills and competences. That includes: cross-cultural communication workshops, presentations introducing different customs of the life and the traditional values of the different partner-countries; workshop for developing a facebook page called "The traditions are modern" aimed at popularization of the traditions and and the cultural diversity of Europe among the young people. The methods which will be used in these activities are based on the non-formal education and on the so called peer to peer education . 2) Activities for a practical performance of the participants: meeting with a group of old ladies from the cultural club"Brotherhood" on which they will introduce customs and traditional rituals, specific for the region of Smiadovo; presentations and practical workshops for learning traditional songs, dances and rituals typical for the countries participating in the project. The exchange will end with public performance "Through traditions and diversity - for a better and united Europe"- made by the participants and played to an open stage in front of the community of the town of Smiadovo. Here leading methods will be: methods for creativity, methods stimulating the creative thinking and team working of the youth. The accomplishment of this project will influence directly not only on the adjustments, interests, competences of the participants but also will have effect on other youth from the partner organisations and countries partnering in the project. The main focus of influence is that this will bring constant interest toward the learning and saving the traditions of the different countries. The developed facebook page of the project will put the beginning of a global initiative for saving and popularizing of the traditions of different countries among the young people. Thus this will attract new partners for more future activities pointed at that direction Through the activities of the project a platform for interactions and cross-cultural dialog among the partnering organisations will be developed and thus the beginning of new future initiatives and projects will be set.
